Beautiful article!

Wonderful article Renea! I have so many memories in the garden with my parents and grandparents. Memories of planting, weeding, watering, harvesting, snapping beans and canning too. Gardening is a kind of prayer and therapy all rolled into one. I don't know how many times I've taken out my frustrations by pulling weeds, or got down on my knees to pray with tears rolling down my face while planting or weeding. Every time I am blessed by the time, no matter how bountiful or meager the harvest. That connection to earth and to the divine ever present in the dirt under our fingernails, the aching back but happy soul that comes from time in the garden. When I can no longer stick my hands in the dirt, it'll be time to bury me in it.
